How to make a bequest to Conservation SA

Making a Will means that you can decide how your legacy will be distributed. You should take care in making your Will that it is worded precisely, that it accurately reflects your wishes, and that it is a legally valid document. It is a good idea to consult with your solicitor in drawing up or amending you Will.

We strongly recommend that you discuss any bequests with your family or other beneficiaries so that they are aware of and understand your wishes.

You may wish to use the following wording in your will as a guide, but it is important to check with your legal adviser:

"I bequeath to the Conservation Council of South Australia Inc. (a specified sum), or (specified items), or (the residue of my estate) free of all duties, and the receipt of the Secretary or other authorised officer for the time being shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for the executor(s)".

For more information about bequests, please use this form to contact our Bequest Donor Liaison Manager, or phone (08) 8223 5155.
