Communications and Media Volunteer, State Election

Volunteer role: Communications and Media Volunteer (State Election)

Our friendly, passionate team is seeking a strong writer and communicator with a great work ethic to join us for our 2018 South Australian State Election campaign.

The Communications and Media Volunteer will support Conservation SA’s Communications and State Election teams, helping to increase our impact in the lead-up to the election in March, resulting in positive outcomes for South Australia’s environment and people.

While the special focus of this role is our State Election campaign, the volunteer will have the opportunity to contribute across the spectrum of Conservation SA’s communications.

Timeframe: December 2017 - April 2018

This volunteer role has a set timeframe, ideally commencing ASAP but requiring a commitment in the lead-up to the 2018 South Australian State Election. While hours are flexible for the remainder of 2017 (we would love you to join us as soon as possible), the role requires a minimum commitment of three months from early-mid January to mid-April 2018.

To apply:

  1. Download the volunteer position description
  2. Email your cover letter to [email protected] telling us about yourself and why you think you'd be a great fit for the role (please refer to the 'About you' section of the position description for essential criteria)
  3. Attach an example of your writing (either previously published work or one piece of writing no longer than 500 words on a topic relating to the environment, sustainability or community activism)
  4. Attach any other relevant information or supporting documents (e.g. CV, social media accounts you manage, any examples of your photography, graphic design, video or other published work, etc.)

Contact Kate Sutcliffe (via email or phone - 8223 5155) with any questions about the role.

Applications close Friday 1 December 2017
