This alliance, Voices for the Murray Darling, brings together, residents, farmers, fishers, irrigators, environmentalists and health sector groups as a unified voice for the Murray Darling Rivers.
Conservation Council of SA CE Tim Kelly said: "Australia is running out of time to protect all of the communities who rely on a healthy river."
"We have joined the Voices for the Murray-Darling and the website lifeblood.org.au because now is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a strong resilient river system."
"This website allows anyone who wants to see healthier river communities express their concerns direct to the decision makers, Craig Knowles and Tony Burke."
"South Australia has so much riding on this Basin Plan. Unless we get more water flowing down the river and out the Murray Mouth, we are unable to flush out the two million tonnes of salt and other pollutants that flow down the system and into SA every year. Adelaide's water supply is at risk here, and so too are the tourism and primary industries that need good water quality and a pristine environment."
"We encourage South Australians to visit the lifeblood website and add your voice to the call for a Basin Plan that supports all river communities."
