Shadow Minister for Climate Change the Hon. Adrian Pederick MP, Labor MP the Hon. Steph Key and SA Greens MLC the Hon. Mark Parnell will join one of 16 nation-wide Walk Against Warming events to persuade Australias Federal Government to call for serious global action on climate change at the international climate talks in Poznan, Poland.
They will be joined by ordinary South Australians as they collectively walk, run and cycle the 1209km from Adelaide to Canberra on stationary exercise bikes and treadmills.
From 10.30am till late on Friday and all day Saturday, the Walk Against Warming crew will be at the Malls Balls in Rundle Mall in the Adelaide CBD collectively clocking up the kms on bikes and treadmills, said Jimmy Brideson, spokesperson for the 2008 SA Walk Against Warming.
Everyone in Adelaide is invited to come along and join in the fun as we send a serious message to our Federal Government about the five clear asks for Australia to take to the international talks in Poland.
