Eat Wild

Ever wanted to be confident enough to forage for your own food?

Join The Wild Food Huntress and walk through the grounds of the Glenbarr estate in historic Strathalbyn which is home to Andrew Barker of the ever expanding Grow Free movement.

You will learn to identify some weeds and other wild food along the way and be able to use that knowledge in your own lives. Kate will not only discuss edibility and/or uses (if known) of weeds found on the day but also touch on the native flora and the importance to the indigenous community .

The foray is hands on and will give you the chance to touch, smell and even taste some of the plants identified on the day. This will be the first step on the way to eating for free!

After the walk you will be able to chat with likeminded folk and enjoy a wild foraged light vegan friendly lunch in tranquil settings.
