  • reasons why the species is of conservation concern,
  • major potential and current threats, and
  • a range of ways of addressing these threats.

These species fact sheets are designed to engage and educatate regarding some of the diverse and fascinating SA fish species of conservation concern and act as a lead in to some of the more in depth information prepared as part of this project. Other resources include information on threats and solutions and relevant legislation.

These sheets are relevant to a wide range of audiences including:

  • NRM boards
  • Government (Local, State and Federal)
  • Community groups
  • Coast and Marine professionals
  • Marine environment users such as fishers, surfers, boaties, tourism operators etc.


The fact sheets are presented here as pdf. files and file sizes have been reduced to facillitate easy downloading.
