- Lobbying government and private groups about environmental concerns.
- Regular forums on a wide range of topics of interest and concern to UEA.
- Production of the book Moving Towards Urban Sustainability as an adjunct to the guided tours and to be for sale separately.
- Maintaining UEA website. The website is the repository for a large amount of information relating to ecological issues and is gateway to the Christie Walk website and much more as well.
- Promoting the GoGet car-sharing scheme. This has been set up during the past year and is now running well, with three cars and car-parks available. Private and corporate membership is increasing steadily.
- Development of Story Wall at Christie Walk as (a) public art and (b) an interesting visual adjunct to the guided tours.
Identify three key environmental issues impacting on South Australia:
- 1. The impact of climate change on the Murray-Darling basin and other river systems.
- 2. The over-use of natural resources.
- 3. Lack of proper building codes for domestic housing and commercial buildings.
