Conservation SA in national Walk Against Warming action prior to the Federal Election

Conservation SA together with other peak environment groups from around the country will be holding Australia's biggest day of climate action - Walk Against Warming, nationally on Sunday 15 August, six days before the federal election.

Julie Pettett, CEO of Conservation SA said "we are pleased to once again be a part of the biggest day of climate action in Australia. Whilst, millions of ordinary Australians are doing their bit to tackle climate change, we are yet to see politicians face up to their responsibility to reduce Australia's greenhouse pollution.

"It is quite simple, the next government must walk with the people and not the big polluters and this means there must be a price on carbon."

This year participants will gather at Victoria Square (Tarndarnyangga) from 11am Sunday 15 August and instead of the usual walk through the city there will be a mass visual message for our leaders. Then, there will be the Great Neighbourhood Walk where participants take to the streets in their local areas and deliver petitions to 100,000 homes across South Australia.
