Conservation SA Response to Draft Management Plan for the South Australian Commercial Gulf St Vincent Prawn Fishery
Conservation SA welcomes the transition to more flexible management arrangements for this fishery but has two main concerns: a) the risk assessment for by-catch of syngnathids does not adequately address the risk; and b) the limitations on consultation at an early stage in management initiatives for this fishery. Detail about the risk to syngnathids is included.
