In 2010/11 the Conservation Council of South Australia, with funding from the Department of the Premier & Cabinet, was able to distribute over $180,000 in grants to 28 community groups from across the state for an exciting range of projects focused on sustainability and climate change.
The successful projects range from community gardens for refugees in Murray Bridge, carbon reduction challenges on the Limestone Coast, talks on behaviour change and climate change for women in regional areas, and radio announcements about sustainability in Swahili, Nepali, Hindi, Farsi, Chinese and Spanish! These projects have reached thousands of South Australians encouraging them to play their part in creating a sustainable future for everyone!
