Talk to your MP about nuclear waste - Training session

(This is for the training session on Monday 28 June - for other dates see links below)

It’s hard to believe we are having a discussion in SA about dumping high level nuclear waste in our state. The dollars don’t add up and the dangers are real.

Right now the SA Government are running an expensive community engagement process to decide whether or not we should proceed with a dump.

The Government has made it very clear that they will not support it unless the community gives its ‘consent’.

So, right now is the critical time to make sure, through phone, email, or better still a personal visit, that our political leaders of all parties hear from people like you.

We know some people are a bit shy about speaking to their MP. To make it easier, we can help. We are happy to talk through points to discuss with your local rep, invite you to come in and make the call from our phones or join us for one of your ‘Talking to your politicians about nuclear waste’ sessions:

There are 4 stand-alone sessions, they are on:

Tuesday 28 June: 10am-12Noon (RSVP to this session on this page)

Monday 11 July: 10am-12Noon

Monday 25 July: 6pm-8pm

Tuesday 23 August 6pm-8pm

Whatever you do, make sure you let your local MP know how you feel.  Silence will be seen as ‘consent’.

Tea, Coffee and some take home info will be provided!
