STATUS - three year; fixed-term contract
CLASSIFICATION – Individual contract
SALARY – circa $105K pa FTE plus SGC
HOURS – 0.8 FTE (negotiable)

The Conservation Council of South Australia Inc (CCSA) is the peak environment body for South Australia, representing over 60 of the state’s nature and sustainability organisations.
As a community-powered organisation, we stand for South Australia’s environment when it’s under threat, help our member groups and other nature champions, and create and tell stories about ways for people and nature to live in balance.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join our small, dynamic team.
Your responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. You will oversee all daily business activities and have first-line management of operations and program staff.
As a key leader, you will help keep the organisation’s finances on track, play a central role in delivering the vision of the organisation and ensure it remains effective and influential.
You will be expected to work independently but also collaboratively where required, building relationships with relevant stakeholders.
The role requires a person of good judgement, with the ability to organise and manage multiple, and often competing, projects and priorities.

- Set policies and processes
- Oversee day-to-day operations
- Maintain budgets and optimise expenses
- Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
