What’s your role at Conservation SA?

I coordinate the Adelaide Sustainability Centre (ASC).

Tell us a bit about your work:

The ASC supports our community to connect to the environment and find practical ways to live more sustainably. I have the privilege of coordinating the program of events, including film nights, practical workshops and presentations, managing our social media, displays, resources and project-based work, and working with our incredible team of volunteers.

What are you reading/watching right now?

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou and Space Invaders by Nona Fernandez

Have any favourite quotes?

'Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has' - Margaret Mead

Who’s someone you really admire?

My grandma for her heart, honesty and sense of humour.

What’s your favourite place in SA?

Kangaroo Island for its beautiful beaches, community, biodiversity and sense of calm. Also an amazing rock climbing spot in Waitpinga, with incredible views over the ocean when you get to the top.

What’s been your proudest moment at Conservation SA?

Everyday interactions with the ASC community, whether its someone contacting us to find out more about a particular environment or sustainability issue and what they can do, or seeing workshop participants going away inspired to use and share new skills and knowledge.
