It's been a huge year for Conservation SA.
You can help us do even more.
From the winning campaign to protect Mirnu Wirra in our Parklands, to standing with the Barngarla people in the decade-long fight against the Kimba nuclear waste dump, to our work protecting Adelaide’s magnificent river red gums, it's been a massive year for our team.
All these incredible results over the past 12 months have all been achieved by a tiny group of incredibly hard-working part-time staff and volunteers.
Most people can’t believe we do the breadth and depth of work we do with so few resources.
Of course, we haven’t done it alone. Every one of these fabulous achievements happened because we worked with others.
That’s our superpower: we connect, build alliances, and inspire others to do more than they imagined possible.
As the peak body, we play a unique and critically important role.
As a connector, we build effective coalitions for action. As a sentinel, we see threats emerge over the horizon and organise early. As the voice for the environment in SA, we speak on behalf of other living creatures who can’t speak for themselves.
Our special places and our remarkable wildlife cannot afford for us to step back because we lack the resources to do the things we need to do.
It’s been an absolute privilege to serve as the head of such a powerful and effective organisation. But for us to continue to make such a difference will require your help.
