Join us to celebrate the closing of Care & Confluence, an evocative exhibition by South Australian artist Rebecca McEwan. The evening will include an artist talk from Rebecca, along with drinks and nibbles to enjoy as you explore the work.
Through a poetic blend of thread, ink and encaustic wax, Rebecca invites us into a quiet, intimate conversation with the rivers that shape our state — the Ngangkipari/Onkaparinga, Karrawirra pari/Torrens Murrundi/Murray. Her works draw from countless hours spent paddling, listening and walking along their ancient banks, treating these waterways not just as landscapes, but as living entities with memories, voices and stories of their own.
This closing event offers a final opportunity to contribute to the Care & Confluence collaborative 'Net Working' project, listen to Rebecca's artist talk and experience her visual catalogue of these encounters — a tender ode to connection, care and the deep knowing that comes from truly attending to place.
Come share a reflective evening honouring the rivers that hold us, and the artist who has listened so gently
