It's happening — right on our doorstep
Fracking is a controversial, invasive mining method that has shown to have far-reaching impacts on environment, communities and people's health around the world.
And now it's on our doorstep — in our state's beautiful South East.
Despite the gas industry being a minimal contributor to SA’s jobs or economy, the state government has been pushing hard to open up unconventional gas resources, even paying companies to explore for gas in some of our most beautiful and productive landscapes. And our South East is now covered by exploration licences.
It's only a matter of time until all this exploration for unconventional gas moves to the next stage — unless we put a stop to it.
