Today we're getting to know a team member who has made a big impact since coming on board in 2018: General Manager Allys Todd.
What’s your role at Conservation SA? General Manager Tell us a bit about your work: I manage the team, projects, safety and systems at Conservation SA, including the Joinery. In addition, I facilitate key sector engagement including the South Australia Nature Alliance, formal submissions, and government relations. What are you reading/watching right now? I am currently bingeing Season 3 of Ozarks on Netflix. While running, I’m listening to Inner Engineering by Sadghguru Jaggi Vasudev on Audible, and in hardcover I'm reading Jacinda Ardern's biography by Michelle Duff and Blue Ocean Strategy by W.Cahn Kim & Renee Mauborgne. Got any favourite quotes? “Something wonderful begins to happen with the simple realization that life, like an automobile, is driven from the inside out, not the other way around.” Richard Carlson What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard? “If you are not in the arena also getting your ass kicked, then I’m not interested in your feedback.” Brene Brown What’s your favourite place in SA? One of my favourite places is the Yorke Peninsula where you can bush camp on the beach, surf the coast and kayak the bay. What’s been your proudest moment at Conservation SA? The School Strike for Climate was a truly unifying day for our team. It solidified our personal commitment to the cause but also strengthened our team dynamics. The day was a lot of hard work, which made the hope we felt when everyone came together that much more memorable. Learn more about our staff and executive team here |
