Today is National Volunteer Day, and we're thrilled to be able to shine a spotlight on one of our amazing volunteers: Augusto 'Tuto' Acevedo.
What do you do at Conservation SA? I am a volunteer supporting Reef Watch on data collection and assisting with Conservation SA's Nationbuilder database. I enjoy spending time with my friends at BBQs or the beach. I like to study and to learn different things. I ride bicycles (sometimes!) and love cooking for my family and friends. A few weeks ago I finished The Art of War by Sun Tzu and recently watched Jumanji and Miracle on Cell No. 7. "Don't trust everything you see, don't believe everything you hear and don't say everything you know." From my mother: Whatever you do, do it well or don't do it. Koala Victor Harbor in general! When I felt that my contribution in supporting the databases helped with the results that Conservation SA needed and my knowledge was being used helping others. Huge thanks to Tuto from the whole Conservation SA team for generously giving his time and expertise on behalf of our environment. We're very lucky to have him on our team. |
