The Limestone Coast needs your help - and helping might be easier than you think.
Eight years ago the community of the Limestone Coast won a ten year moratorium on fracking, and protected their water, soil and air from dangerous and risky gas extraction. But in July this year the State Government announced that they intend to lift the moratorium two years early and let the gas drill rigs roll into the area, leaving a water scarce region at risk of water intensive and potentially contaminating fossil fuel extraction.
Short term protection isn't enough - so we are fighting for a permanent ban on fracking in the Limestone Coast. Will you be a part of our next win?
Join Lock the Gate, Limestone Coast Protection Alliance and Conservation SA for a webinar to learn about the campaign and how you can make a difference.
We’re looking for people who want to join a community led movement to take action. What makes this campaign different is the broad range of support from diverse communities, local councils and across the political spectrum.
We need to gather 10,000 paper petition signatures to trigger a Parliamentary enquiry. Will you help us?
During the webinar you’ll learn what's at risk, hear from the diverse community members who are driving the fight to protect the Limestone coast, and learn what you can do to take action.
If you’ve been wondering how you can do more for regional communities and nature protection, this is a powerful place to start.
