Climate Change and Homelessness Forum

As part of Anti-Poverty week, SACOSS is hosting a forum exploring the impact of climate change on those experiencing poverty and homelessness. Join us to hear from a great line-up of speakers:

  • Dr Scott Hanson-Easey, Research Fellow at University of Adelaide, Director of the former National Climate Change Adaptation Research Facility Vulnerable Communities Network, speaking on climate change and its impacts on people living in poverty
  • Dr Danielle Every, Senior Research Fellow at CQ University Adelaide Campus, launching the findings of her report with the Red Cross on homelessness and extreme weather
  • Kellie Caught, Senior Policy Officer, ACOSS, speaking on the Resilient Community Organisations resource to help Community Service Organisations prepare for climate change
  • Representative from Red Cross, speaking on the new Out of the Storm project developing extreme weather education with the homeless community
