The multi-award winning Reef Watch is one of Australia’s longest-running citizen science programs.
Over a remarkable 25 years, we have led an army of citizen scientists monitoring South Australia’s rich reef systems for health and teaching generations of children to appreciate our marine wonders.
It’s more than just a program – it’s a much-loved community of people who are passionate about protecting our gorgeous and special marine life.
But Reef Watch's future is under a cloud.
Over the past few years, funding from traditional sources has dropped massively.
So, we are doing something we have never done before.
We are reaching out to you – our community of supporters and ocean lovers – to see if you will join us to ensure Reef Watch continues for all of us.
We need $15,000 as a first step to keep the program running to June as we work out how to ensure Reef Watch’s long-term health.
Reef Watch has taught a generation of South Australians to study and care for our state’s incredible environment.
