BREAKING NEWS: SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S MOST ICONIC NATIVE ANIMAL IS ABOUT TO BE RECOGNISED AS ENDANGERED.
Although the news is not yet public, it is clear from technical reports that the formal Commonwealth Government threatened species listing for the Australian Sea Lion has been upgraded.
And we are so concerned we are kickstarting a campaign to ensure their survival.
It’s our responsibility to turn this around. This is happening on our home turf.
As South Australia’s peak environment body, we are highly skilled and incredibly effective in using good science to advocate for change. And with 60+ incredible member groups at our backs, we can do it.

- urgently lobby the Commonwealth Government to fund scientific studies,
- launch public information campaigns on marine pollution,
- create strong partnerships with the tourism industry, and
- work with the best scientists to quickly identify the biggest threats.
