Each year, the SA Environment Awards provide an opportunity to acknowledge South Australians who give their time, expertise and passion on behalf of our precious natural environment.

Jill Hudson Award for Environmental Protection

This annual award is in memory of Jillian Hudson (1948 -1997) who was born, lived, studied, taught and died in South Australia.

Department for Environment and Water Young Achiever Award

South Australia's young environmentalists make a great contribution to the protection of our environment through many avenues, including their involvement in community awareness campaigns, volunteerism, political advocacy, research and science, and on-ground work. 

Conservation SA’s Young Achiever Award recognises those committed to improving environmental outcomes.

Unsung Hero Award 

There are many individuals and groups in South Australia who, over a sustained period of time, have made a difference to the environment. 

Conservation SA’s Unsung Hero Award recognises those who have a long-standing record and commitment to protecting the environment.

Lifetime Achievement Awards

Each year we honour a group of extraordinary South Australians with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

These legendary activists, community organisers and conservationists have blazed a path for the environment movement, pioneering the organisations, approaches and concepts we take for granted today.

This year, the Lifetime Achievement Award is a closed category, but nominations will be open for future Awards.
